Cruise Ship Headliner

3 steps from Production Singer to Guest Entertainer

LEARN

Learn from the other artists that are living your dream! Go see the shows of other ship entertainers. YouTube your favorite #guestent and ask:

What does the audience respond to?

How many songs do they sing?

What does the lighting look like?

CREATE

Map out your show: song order, charts, banter, blocking, costume, lighting/ visuals, props

Run through your show: Living room look-see for your friends and family

Perform the show [LIVE]: Get a venue. Get an audience. Get a video.

*PRO TIP* When you get onboard, you need two 45-min shows fully charted for up to 7 instruments.

REACH OUT

You cannot work as a headliner at sea without a decent AGENT.

Learn more about cruise ship agencies in this article, here.

Research their roster and compare your video with artists that resemble you. Make necessary adjustments and reach out with 3 minutes of your best work.

*Now… Let Go*

Relax. You did everything you could. Now is the time to perform on land and practice! Go get a name for yourself. Audition for TV talent shows, musicals, comedy clubs, etc. The more you get this show into your body the better performer you will be.
