What you need to be a musical headliner

CHARTS

If you are a musical act headlining your own show at sea or on land, the most important thing is your CHARTS. Charts are the musical guide for each instrument of your band. They are created by musical arrangers who write or arrange songs using computer software. There are many musicians out there that do this, but they vary by price and skill. Remember, you get what you pay for. Keep this organized, and always in your possession! Your music is your show!

INSTRUMENTS

Each ship has a different band setup and you need to have charts for whatever instruments they have onboard. Some of these ships have more than one of the same instrument (keys 2, sax2 etc) but this will give you an idea. Remember, these setups are always changing and can vary from ship to ship.

MUSIC DIRECTOR

Make friends with the band… especially the MD or Band Leader! When you leave the ship they write a report to corporate detailing how your shows went, how the audience responded and how easy (or difficult) you were to work with. Let your GOOD reputation precede you.
